On this day, February 14, 1961 Lawrencium Lawrencium, the radioactive synthetic element with atomic number 103, was first synthesized at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. Lawrencium is a synthetic chemical element; it has symbol Lr and atomic number 103. It is named after Ernest Lawrence, inventor of the cyclotron, a device that was used to discover many artificial radioactive elements. A radioactive metal, lawrencium is the eleventh transuranium element, the third transfermium, and the last member of the actinide series. Like all elements with atomic number over 100, lawrencium can only be produced in particle accelerators by bombarding lighter elements with charged particles. Fourteen isotopes of lawrencium are currently known; the most stable is 266Lr with half-life 11 hours, but the shorter-lived 260Lr is most commonly used in chemistry because it can be produced on a larger scale. source: Wikipedia

Death: Death symbolizes transformation and renewal rather than a literal end. It represents the cyclical nature of life, where endings pave the way for new beginnings. Typically depicted as a skeletal figure, often riding a horse, the Death card signifies the release of old patterns, beliefs, or situations that no longer serve you. This card invites introspection and encourages letting go to embrace the possibilities that arise from change. The imagery suggests that through this process of transformation, one can find rebirth and revitalization, making way for a fresh start.
