Aries - Thursday, Feb 27, 2025 (Mar 21 - Apr 19) Daily horoscope Keeping your thoughts in line is a fruitless and frustrating endeavor today. Be careful or you might find yourself in an awkward position of backtracking. Participating in an interactive process can certainly be gratifying, but not if others won't take the time to recognize your contribution to the group process.

C. V. Raman Indian physicist C. V. Raman and his colleagues discovered what is now known as Raman scattering, for which he later became the first Asian to win the Nobel Prize in Physics. Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was an Indian physicist known for his work in the field of light scattering. Using a spectrograph that he developed, he and his student K. S. Krishnan discovered that when light traverses a transparent material, the deflected light changes its wavelength. This phenomenon, a hitherto unknown type of scattering of light, which they called "modified scattering" was subsequently termed the Raman effect or Raman scattering. Raman received the 1930 Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery and was the first Asian and the first non-White to receive a Nobel Prize in any branch of science. source: Wikipedia
